The tender moments of my Grandmother's funeral where candidly caught. From a child smelling a flower, Grandpa walking hand in hand with the girls, the hugs, the support from friends, to the unity of Brother and Sisters. The Lord and His Tender Mercies encircled us that day. I enjoyed every aspect of the services. Humor, sweetness, reflection and abundant love!
Before the viewing started, I had the opportunity to set the pictures up in the entryway and see Grandma before all came. She looked so beautiful all in white and every dainty detail highlighted. How grateful I was at that time for the Atonement. For in that moment I felt nothing but compassion, humility, forgiveness, and hope. All of which happened that day.

Thanks for your reminder about the important things in life. I'm glad you had the chance to celebrate the life of your grandmother rather than mourn her death. It's important to keep things in perspective and be grateful for what Jesus did for us. Sometimes the trivialities of this life can distract us from the big picture. Thanks again.
What a beautiful tribute to your grandmother. The pictures are amazing. What blessings the gospel brings us! Amazing! Love Ya!
This is such a Beautiful post... It reminds me of the funerals ive been to for someone I love deeply... first I felt sadness... then i felt joy trusting in my heavenly father and that ill be able to see them again...
Luv, Mckoy
what a beautiful, loving tribute to your grandmother. you are truly blessed!
Beautiful. Beautiful photos. I can't imagine a better way to be remembered by loved ones than a reflection on the joy that was and will be.
I'm so glad to get to see these photos, having missed the funeral. To me, that was the hardest part...not the saying goodbye to Grandma but not being able to be reunited with the living.
Thanks for sharing the tender thoughts and pictures. It truly was a time of healing and rejoicing in the knowlege that your grandmother will be there to greet us at some future day, healthy and whole. Thanks for all your support during this time. love you!!!
You did catch some wonderful shots of your grandmothers funeral. I am grateful for the atonement as well, and for the knowledge that we will see or loved ones again. I'm glad her funeral was a celebration of her life and not just about mourning her loss. Sending you big hugs!
beautiful shots!
The flowers are nice. So sorry about your grandma.
At funerals I'm always confused about how/what to photograph? You have inspired me. To get the feelings next time...
I got your DMs, but was confused?

That was a lovely tribute to your Grandmother....it makes so much more sense to celebrate their life and enjoy the blessings they were in our lives than to mourn their death.
